Sioux Chief Manufacturing (“Sioux Chief” or the “Company”) is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri – was founded in 1957 – and is one of the nation’s largest, family-owned, rough plumbing product manufacturers used in residential, commercial, industrial, & municipal applications. Sioux Chief maintains more than 2 million sq. ft. of production space across 12+ manufacturing facilities in 10 states and Canada. Each of the Company’s entities / facilities are dedicated to a specific area of expertise, including injection molding, extrusion, tube forming, machining, stamping, and wire bending.
Services Provided
MelCap served as the exclusive buy-side investment banker and financial advisor to Sioux Chief through a robust and multifaceted target acquisition search. The acquisition search was focused on providing Sioux Chief opportunities to control its supply chain more effectively through a focused effort on vertical integration. Dundee’s metal stamping expertise, particularly in the plumbing space, further augments Sioux Chief’s core competencies, which will allow the Company to offer its customers a premium, cost-effective, solution. MelCap identified the target, negotiated the terms of the transaction, and managed the Company’s due diligence efforts – from initial outreach through consummation of the transaction. The Result
Sioux Chief’s acquisition of Dundee represents the third buy-side transaction MelCap has completed with Sioux Chief over the last 14 months.
