(“OCS” or the “Company”), headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is leader in the provision of calibration, repair, and maintenance services, as well as the sale of calibration, force, optical, and measurement equipment to customers throughout the Great Lakes Region. OCS’ team of highly trained and certified technicians perform its best-in-class services both at its customers facilities, as well as at the Company’s ISO / IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. As a result of OCS’ 95-year operating history and market leading services, the Company has established a base of more than 1,000+ blue chip, and oftentimes recurring, customers.

The Result
In an effort to achieve the current ownership’s goals and objectives, as well as support the Company’s future growth plans, MelCap was able to successfully identify the most logical buyer for the business. As a result, OCS was sold to Aldinger Company (“Aldinger”), headquartered in Dallas, TX. Aldinger offers calibration solutions for a wide range of mission-critical test and measurement equipment, as well as complementary repair services and equipment sales. Since the acquisition of Aldinger by Incline Equity Partners (“Incline”), a Pittsburgh, PA based private equity firm, Aldinger has grown substantially both organically, as well as through strategic acquisitions. Aldinger’s acquisition of OCS represents its most substantial expansion into the Northeast Ohio market, and will provide meaningful cross-selling opportunities throughout both OCS and Aldinger’s national customers. Furthermore, OCS’ President, Joe Gunn, will immediately support the entire Aldinger platform as its new Director of Quality, in addition to his role as President at OCS.
