The Homer Laughlin China Company is an industry-leading U.S. manufacturer of high-quality dinnerware products and tabletop accessories for the foodservice industry. Homer is also known for its award-winning Fiesta Dinnerware product line throughout the foodservice and retail markets.

MelCap Partners, LLC served as Homer’s exclusive investment banker and financial advisor in the sale of the Company’s foodservice division.

The Result

In order to focus on the continued growth and expansion of its retail division, including its Fiesta product line, Homer made a strategic decision to divest its foodservice division. As a result, MelCap sold Homer’s foodservice division to Steelite International, a leading manufacturer and supplier of tabletop and buffet products for the global hospitality industry. Steelite is a portfolio company of Arbor Investments, which is a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on the food and beverage industry.
