Headquartered in Shelby, Ohio, with locations in Cedar Rapids, IA and Romulus, MI, Hanline is one of the largest value-added produce distributors and processors (e.g., tomatoes, potatoes, onions, avocados, etc.) in the Midwestern United States.

MelCap Partners served as the exclusive investment banker and financial advisor to Hanline in an extensive acquisition search to help expand the Company’s geographic reach, particularly in the Southeastern United States. The Result
MelCap’s concerted buy-side search efforts led to the identification and acquisition of Vidalia Valley, LLC, Vidalia Onion Farms, LLC, and certain assets of Stanley Farms LLC (collectively, “Vidalia Valley” or the “Target”). Based in Lyons, Georgia – the heart of Vidalia Onions Country – Vidalia Valley is one of the country’s premier onion distributors, and producers of bottled sauces, dressings, and salsa. The Target also engages in the IQF of diced Vidalia Onions.
